How did this idea come about?

For years when I was a teacher, and now as a mom, lost marker caps and dried-up markers have always annoyed me. What am I to do when 2 little girls are begging for pink (the only acceptable color when you are a girl and under 6 years old), and the pink marker is dry?

Rummaging through giant marker boxes at school, or my children’s pencil boxes at home, I always found stray caps and dry markers. When I heard my Dad, a career executive and consultant, complaining about useless, dried up dry erase markers, the scope of this annoyance hit me. I had to do something. And so, the patent pending Cap Trapper™ was born.
